Jamming detection and frequency hopping

The hub continuously monitors the quality of wireless communication with system devices. If jamming is detected, the hub automatically switches between 17 available frequencies across 4 European bands. At the same time, it sends a jamming alert to both users and the monitoring company.

Masking detection

Ajax G3 motion detectors feature anti-masking technology that identifies attempts to block their view — even when the system is disarmed. They detect masking by fabric, paper, metal, or aerosols. Opening detectors use a magnetometer to track changes in the surrounding magnetic field and immediately detect tampering by using strong magnets.

Autonomous operation in a blackout

In the event of a power outage, mains-powered devices instantly switch to backup power, while other devices continue running on built-in batteries — keeping the system fully operational and energy-independent.

Data encryption

All data transmitted between system devices via proprietary radio protocols is encrypted. Each device uses individual authentication methods, making unauthorized reprogramming or data theft extremely difficult. Communication between the hub and Ajax Cloud is established through the proprietary HtS protocol, which is secured by NIST-certified AES-128 encryption.

Communication failure detection

Each system device regularly exchanges data with the hub and can send three data packets as often as every 12 seconds. If the connection is lost, the system detects it in only 36 seconds and notifies the security company and users about the incident.

Device authentication to prevent spoofing

The hub automatically verifies each device's unique parameters during every communication session. If any parameter fails authentication, the hub ignores all commands from that device.

Protection against code guessing and access devices copying

Ajax G3 keypads respond only to access devices authorized via Ajax apps. The DESFire® chips in cards and key fobs comply with ISO 14443 and combine 128-bit encryption with copy protection. The BLE reader ignores smartphones that are not authorized in Ajax apps. To prevent code guessing, the system locks the keypad after three failed attempts for a set period and immediately reports the incident.

Ajax devices feature a tamper button that triggers an alarm if the device is dismantled or detached from the surface. Some devices have additional tamper buttons that respond to the enclosure being opened or damaged.

Advanced system supervision

All Ajax devices perform automatic self-diagnosis and report their states to the hub. Essential parameters, including tamper, communication, power supply, and sensor statuses, are continuously monitored. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for monitoring stations, security companies, and users in case of any fault or communication failure.

Detection without compromise

Ajax Superior devices detect real threats with near-zero false alarms. Motion detectors have an extremely small 30 cm (0.98 ft) blind zone, reliably capturing crawling, fast, or slow movement. Opening detectors respond to shock and tilt for early intrusion detection, while panic buttons trigger alarms with no wake-up delay. Continuous supervision and regular sensor health checks ensure timely fault and maintenance notifications, and the anti-masking system reacts to any attempt to cover or sabotage a device.

Wireless Grade 3 motion detectors do not feature pet immunity, as their ultra-precise detection technology covers the entire area without leaving blind spots for intruders.

Ajax Superior DoorProtect G3 Jeweller uses two reed switches as opening sensors and a magnetometer to detect magnet spoofing. A built-in accelerometer responds to vibration, shock, and tilt, ensuring window protection even in tilt mode. The detector effectively filters out false alarms and resists sabotage, making it ideal for sites with higher security requirements.

The product group includes two detectors: one with a PIR sensor and one combining PIR with a K-band microwave sensor. Both devices detect slow and fast motion at distances up to 49 ft , including crawl-under attempts. Ajax Superior DoubleButton G3 Jeweller is a hold-up device. Both buttons must be pressed simultaneously to trigger an alarm, with a plastic divider preventing accidental activation. The device can be carried as a key fob or mounted on a flat surface using the Holder accessory (sold separately).
